tranquil soles

Ivica Brnic, Professor of Architecture at TU Wien, has devoted his academic research to the

study of modernist sacred spaces. We accompanied Brnic on a visit to Vienna’s Second Council

Church in Lainz, Vienna.

Designed by the renowned Tyrolean architect Josef Lackner, this Brutalist sanctuary epitomizes

the futuristic, democratic European architecture of its time.

For an architect who spends long days transitioning from site visits, client meetings and

lectures, the Oscar last on our timeless Touring model provides the comfort and space to

breathe - and think deep thoughts.

The Budapester is the Viennese version of the English full brogue, and like the Viennese its

elegant, adaptable yet a little restrained. We’ve adapted this last characteristic to allow for a

little more amplitude, with the addition of our new spacious ‘Oscar’ last.

It’s wider profile accommodates for active feet and an additional insole, whilst retaining the

Budapester’s timeless silhouette. Let your feet walk with peace of mind.
